Rochdale Environtmental Action Group (REAG) is attracting new members from all backgrounds supporting the work of REAG.
Maria and Shahbano joined the Group for the first time and, after the clean up, they said it was a good physical exercise as well developing friendships with the members of the Group.
Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Secretary of the Group, said: "The Group cleaned Sudden Park and removed, rubbish, litter and wooden logs, which could be potential arson risk as these were very close to the wooden fence around these houses on Clifford Street.
“With the tram coming into the town and the new physical developments in the Town Centre, our main concerns are the open spaces where people are dumping their rubbish and litter and the derelict buildings which are hazards to pedestrians and adjoining properties.”
