Rochdale Round Table's “On yer Bike 2013” charity bike ride
The “On yer Bike 2013” charity event proved to be popular with 33 riders taking part.
Riders had a choice of two Mountain Bike routes of either 25km or 8km both routes included contained grueling uphill climbs and challenging downhill sections.
Starting at the Healey Dell Heritage Centre, the riders followed the bridle paths, hills and trails around Healey Dell and up over the summit of Rooley Moor.
A spokesman said: "Along the way we had punctures, snapped chains and even a broken collarbone, but all in the name of charity for good local causes."
The event was organised by Rochdale Round Table and all money raised is for local charities within Rochdale, such as, Springhill Hospice, Rochdale Childer and Moorland Children’s home.
