Year 7 - My World

Students and teachers learn together
Year 7 learners at Matthew Moss have been introduced to a new style of learning called ‘Project Based Learning’.
In their ‘My World’ lessons they focus on developing good habits for life, such as communication skills, leadership skills, resilience, planning their time, and learning how to work independently.
In the photo students and teachers are both learners; we are setting expectations of each other so we can all agree what we need to do to learn well.
These learners will soon be introduced to their first project all about how they can improve at a particular skill over time and dispelling some of the myths they may have about intelligence and effort.
As part of this they will learn about lots of different ways to ‘think’ about their learning – they will tell you more about these in future weeks.
