Open Evening:

We would like to thank everyone involved in Open Evening on Tuesday 1 October and to prospective parents/carers and pupils for making the evening such a success.

Year 6 Day/Staff Training Day/Year 7 Consultation Day and Evening:

On Monday 7 October Hollingworth will be closed for most pupils, as we are holding our Year 6 Open Day and Year 7 Consultation Day and Evening. The Year 6 pupils from local primary schools will be spending the day with us, working within different departments to get a feel for life at Hollingworth. For pupils in Years 7, 8, 9 and 10 the school will be closed, although Year 7 pupils will be expected to attend with their parents/carers for their consultation appointment only. All Year 11 pupils studying GCSE Science sets 1, 2 and 3, Additional Science and Triple Science will be in to complete vital controlled assessments. Normal start and finish times will apply. Pupils in Year 11 studying BTEC Science do not need to attend.

School will be open to all pupils as normal on Tuesday 8 October.

Motivators’ Club:

A reminder to all Mowtivators that the gardening club has restarted on Wednesdays, 2.50pm - 3.50pm (in Room 124). It is time to dig up those potatoes! New members are welcome from all year groups. If you are interested in joining, or just want more information, please see Miss Bold in Room 124 for a letter.

Morrison’s’ Let’s Grow Campaign 2013/14:

Morrison’s have launched their Let’s Grow Campaign for 2013/14. Anyone wishing to contribute can place their vouchers in the collection box in the LRC.

Dance Club:

The Dance Club has started again: KS3 - Thursday 1:50-2:50pm and KS4 - Tuesday 2:50-3:50pm in the Theatre.

Art Department:

The Art department are offering a Mini Art Pack to KS3 and KS4 pupils. If you are interested, please ask your Art teacher for a letter.
