Senior A&E doctors at The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust have produced a promotional film about the Trust’s emergency care services as part of a recruitment drive to attract more top consultants to join the Trust.
As one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country, the Pennine Acute Trust runs emergency services across its three busy A & E departments (Level 1) at North Manchester General Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital in Bury and The Royal Oldham Hospital, and at its Urgent Care Centre (UCC) at Rochdale Infirmary.
Dr Nick Gili, A&E consultant and clinical director at The Royal Oldham Hospital, said:
“We are a really busy A&E department here at The Royal Oldham Hospital where we see around 95,000 patients a year. We have a well established team of consultants, nurses and auxiliary staff who work really well as a team.
"This is a really exciting time for us as we are half way through a multi-million pound expansion of the department where we want to integrate a separate children’s A&E department and improve facilities for the numbers of patients that we see.”
The film is available on the Trust’s website at www.pat.nhs.uk/videos
