Teenage burglars sentenced to 18 months

Date published: 27 September 2013

Two teenagers (due to their age, 17, they cannot be named) arrested earlier this week for burglaries around the Turf Hill and Cray areas of Rochdale have been sentenced to an 18 months detention and training order at Bury Youth Court.

A police spokesmna said: "it is hoped that these young men now take the opportunity whilst in custody to reflect on the impact they have had on their victims and to change their ways in the future.

"We know that the local community were outraged at the behaviour of these young men and would like to thank them for their support in bringing these offenders to justice."

Anyone who has any information about crime committed in their area is asked to call police on 0161 856 8549, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
