Date published: 26 September 2013

On Tuesday 1 October, parents/carers and pupils are warmly invited to attend our annual Open Evening. The school will be open from 6pm and close at 9pm and there will be a welcome address from the Headteacher at 6.15pm and 7.15pm.

On Monday 7 October, Year 6 pupils from local primary schools will be spending the day with us. They will be working within different departments to get a feel for life at Hollingworth.

There are still places available for Y9 pupils on the World War One Battlefields visit, so if you want to go please return the reply slip and the other forms attached to the visit letter to your History teacher by Friday this week. If you did not receive a visit letter then you can obtain one from your History teacher before Friday.

Morrison’s have launched their Let’s Grow Campaign for 2013/14. Anyone wishing to contribute can place their vouchers in the collection box in the LRC.

Dance Club will be starting again next week: KS3 - Thursday 1:50-2:50pm and KS4 - Tuesday 2:50-3:50pm in the Theatre.

All Year 8 pupils are required to have an apron as part of their equipment for practical lessons. Currently pupils are arriving to practical lessons without an apron. If pupils arrive to practical lessons without an apron they will be given a red slip. If this continues to be a regular issue letters will be sent home.

The Art department are offering a Mini Art Pack to KS3 pupils. If you are interested, please ask your Art teacher for a letter.
