New B&M Homestore opening in Rochdale

B&M Homestore will open for trade in at new premises in Rochdale on 5 October.
B&M has secured the former B&Q 25,000-sq² store on Whitworth Road creating over 60 jobs. This will be the Company’s second store in Rochdale and will be business as usual at the B&M town centre store.
B&M now trade from 350 stores compared to 20 stores only 6 years ago. In the last 3 years, it has been opening an average one new store every week. The company is now one of the UK’s largest retailers with 2.5 million shoppers per week. It employs over 13,000 staff.
“We have been waiting for another opportunity in Rochdale for three years and are delighted to have secured this site,” said Carl Allen, Operations Director.
B&M sells a wide variety of 10,000 different products, including keenly discounted groceries, toiletries and confectionary. The new store will also stock paint, soft furnishings, home wares and gardening goods.
The company has been recognised as one of the top 100 fastest growing private companies in the UK by the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 ranking.
