Our theme for this week was welcome and new beginnings. Our theme for enterprise capability was change. Our Saint of the Week was St. Vincent De Paul. Born in 1580 to a poor family in Gascony, France, he was ordained a priest at the age of 20 and went on to teach the children of a wealthy family. He realised the poor needed spiritual and practical help, so he gathered other priests to help him to: take care of criminals, open hospitals and homes for orphans and the poor and carry out his charity work in other countries.

Each Year 7 form class has now taken part in a Welcome Liturgy in the chapel as part of their welcome to our community of faith at St Cuthbert’s. Mass is celebrated weekly in the chapel on Wednesday lunchtime by Fr. Martin Collins. This week the readings and prayers were led by 10.3.
