Rugby Well played to the Rugby team who took part in a competition last Wednesday.
Rochdale Hornets brought the Rugby World Cup into school on Friday for the children to have a look at. We got some great photographs.

Kingswood The children were all really well behaved last weekend at Kingswood Activity Centre. Children and staff had a great time

Macmillan Coffee Afternoon On Friday 27 September we are holding a coffee afternoon at 2.30pm-4pm. It is open to parents, grandparents and members of the community. Please come along and help us raise money for this worthy cause.

Fair-trade Bake-off We are having a Big Fair-Trade Bake-Off on Friday 27 September. Please bring any items into school on the Friday morning – you must use at least one fair-trade ingredient. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. We will be selling the cakes/biscuits at the coffee afternoon and all the money raised will go to Macmillan.

Let’s Get Cooking Our last cooking session is on Thursday 26 September at 1.30pm – this is open to anyone to come and cook with their children. We will be using produce picked from our school garden.

Swimming Training

Swimming Training for Years 5 and 6 is on Fridays. Children need to be at Castleton Baths for 8.30am. Children need to bring £2 to the baths each week. Thank you.

KS2 Book Club

Please send in any orders by this Friday, 20 September. Thank you.

We are now collecting these vouchers from Morrison’s until 27 October.

Dinner Money

Dinner money is now £1.90 per day - £9.50 per week. Money needs to be paid either weekly in advance on a Monday morning or on a daily basis.

Music Lessons

Please make sure children have their instruments with them. Lessons for this half term are £17.10.

Cornet – Wednesday lunchtime
Please make sure all fees are up-to-date. Thank you.

Polite Notice

When you are dropping and picking children up, please do not block residents driveways or the entrance to the car park at the back of the shops on Manchester Road. Thank you.

Touchstones

Well done to one of our pupils, Kelli Dunne, who has her picture of a Robin displayed at Touchstones Art Gallery in Rochdale.

PTA

Our next PTA meeting is on Monday September 30 at 6.45pm in school. We would like to welcome everyone to the meetings, especially our new parents. Please come along and join us. This will also be our AGM. If there are any nominations for Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary or Treasurer, please let school know before this date. Thank you.

We are on the second week of Basketball for the first group. Last week was very successful and children were really well behaved.
