Hopwood Hall College students opened their first photography exhibition at Touchstones in Rochdale on Saturday, with a little help from some special guests, including the Mayor of Rochdale.
The exhibition, entitled ‘Shutterbugging in suburbia’ features over 20 photographs of the borough. All the photographs were taken by the students while they were studying photography with the College.
As well as family and friends, guests at the launch included Hopwood Hall College Deputy Principal, John Spindler, Councillors Surinder Biant and Cecile Biant and the Mayor of Rochdale, Councillor Peter Rush.
John Spindler, Deputy Principal, Hopwood Hall College commented: “I was really impressed with what the students have produced from their course - the photographs on display are excellent.
"The exhibition provides a great platform to show the local community what can be achieved when you set your mind to it. I applaud all the students for their hard work in setting up the exhibition and hope that people will visit and be inspired by their work.”
The exhibition is free to visit, and runs until 16 November.
