The National Database Regulatory Authority (NADRA) Team held their surgery in Rochdale on Saturday 31 August at Castlemere Community Centre, Tweedale Street, and dealt with more than 100 applications for Nationa Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).

NADRA has been holding a monthly surgery for the last three years and has served thousands of members of the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities in and around Rochdale.

On Saturday applicants included disabled people in wheelchairs, mothers with two or three small children, people with illness and elderly people.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Chairman of the Action for Pakistan International, who has been organising these surgeries said: "We are very thankful to Umer Riaz, Manager of NADRA in Manchester, and his team, the Consul General of Pakistan in Manchester and the High Commissioner of Pakistan for holding these surgeries in Rochdale which have benefitted the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities in Rochdale. We hope that they will continue to serve the people of Rochdale."
