Entwisle Road closed
Date published: 13 August 2013
Around 12 homes on Entwisle Road have been affected by serious flooding in the basements and ground floors due to a suspected burst water main.
The affected houses have been evacuated as a precaution because it is thought that the incident has caused a gas leak.
Crews from Rochdale, Littleborough and Bury fire stations were called to Entwisle Road at 2.46pm on Tuesday, August 13.
Crews are working hard to limit the damage the flooding is causing by pumping water from the basements.
Entwisle Road is closed while crews work at the scene and people are advised to avoid the area.
