St John with St Michael Build-a-Bear day

Date published: 20 March 2013

St John with St Michael Primary School in Shawforth had a Build-a-Bear day in school, it was organised by Maizie-Jo Bebb in class 3.

Miss Kenyon has been helping the children make a school newspaper called The Daily Saint and Maizie-Jo thought it would be a wonderful idea to do an article in the paper on Build-a-Bears.

Every body brought in their bears from home. Trinity counted 46 bears.

Some of them were the same and some also had the same outfits. It was so exciting and there were so many different bears to look at. Some of the bears even had voices recorded inside them, when you pressed their tummy or chest they spoke.

Maizie-Jo, Megan and Alex went taking photos in the afternoon and everyone chatted to each other at playtime and lunchtime about why they had got their bears and what they were called.

Everyone was sharing their bears too which was really kind as some people didn’t bring any. We look forward to reading the article in our school newspaper!
