Double dare for Julie

Julie Moorcroft has set her self a bit of a challenge to raise £3,000 for WHAG over one week in April (with a bit of help from her friends).

Julie is an assistant support worker at Women’s Housing Action Group (WHAG) and when she got a place in the London Marathon she knew who she wanted to run for. Julie will run the London Marathon on the 21 April then on the 27 April as part of the band Soul Provider (www.soul-provider.co.uk) she will play at a band night at Rochdale Cricket club.

WHAG is an organisation that works with vulnerable women and men and women experiencing Domestic Abuse in Rochdale and Bury. WHAG is a well established voluntary organisation that has been working with women in Rochdale for 31 years and in Bury since 2008.

WHAG’s Managing Director Kirsty Rhodes comments: “Julie is training really hard for the marathon we are all really impressed that Julie is running a marathon for WHAG and we are looking forward to the band night. This will be a really entertaining night, this fantastic band are supporting the work WHAG do and we would like to thank them for that, this is an opportunity to Support a local charity whilst having a good time as well”

Tickets for the band night are £10 for an adult and £5 for a child and includes pie and pea supper.
