Our theme this week was Advent and our Enterprise capability was Determination.
All year groups are busy preparing for their Advent charity work. We have already sent off 115 Christmas shoe boxes to Belarus and now we are working to help needy people much closer to home. We are assisting the Rochdale Food Bank – any donations of tins and packet foodstuff will be greatly received by the RE department as well as raising money for ‘Petrus’.
Various year group and whole school activities and clubs are available at lunchtime. Please see notices around school for more information. Year 7 Homework club is open every lunch time in L3 with Mrs Whitmore and Mrs Rushton. Year 11 Maths Intervention is available every Tuesday and English Intervention is available every Thursday, both at 3.15.
Year 7 Attendance Challenge - Well done to form 7.8, the weekly winners with 98%.
Congratulations to Emma Odgers, form 7.2, the winner of our weekly achievement points draw.
All year 7 pupils who have shown good classroom behaviour during this term will be rewarded with a disco party at the end of term. If your child is invited, please sign and return your reply slip, giving your consent for them to attend.
There has been a very excited buzz in school since the arrival of a very monstrous, mysterious plant… ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ rehearsals are in full swing with only one week to go to the big performances. Pupils have been attending evening rehearsals as well as lunch times and after school sessions. Tickets, which are going fast, are on sale in the school office, tel. 01706 647761.
