UKIP marching forwards
Date published: 30 November 2012
The latest YouGov poll has revealed that UKIP is currently polling 15% across the North, whilst the Liberal Democrats stand at just 8%.
The figure for UKIP shows a continuing steady increase and is more than double the figure last February.
Local UKIP MEP, Paul Nuttall said: "I am delighted to say that polls over the last few months have shown clear and consistent growth for UKIP and we are now way ahead of the LibDems.
"UKIP has always been a party of common sense values and integrity and those are principles that resonant with the majority in this country.
"Our membership continues to rise, particularly following the outrageous decision of Rotherham social services to remove three innocent children from their foster parents because they are members of UKIP.
"The British are proud of their freedom of thought and deed which is why we are now the third mainstream political party in this country," added Mr Nuttall, UKIP deputy leader.
