St Edwards C of E Primary School
Winter/Christmas Fair – Please come along and join us at our Fair this Friday, 30 November at 3.20pm onwards.
Stalls
Chocolate Tombola; Bottle Tombola; Face painting; Pint Pots; Christmas Tattoos; Come and visit Santa’s Grotto and have your photo taken with Father Christmas; Name The Dog; Lucky Dip; Raffle; 50/50; Lucky Straws; Books; Refreshments.
Cake Stall – we are having a Bun Bake-Off with a Christmas theme and then we will sell the buns at the fair. There will be a prize for everyone who enters and then 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
Refreshments
Don’t forget our refreshments this year will be an indoor BBQ. The Royal Toby Hotel is generously donating all the food and their Head Chef, Paul will be cooking the food for us. Several other members of staff are also coming along to help. School are really looking forward to them coming in and we would like to say a big thank you to The Royal Toby Hotel for their support and generosity.
We would really appreciate any help from parents from 1.15pm onwards.

Year 6 This afternoon our Year 6 children have been to ‘Crucial Crew’ to learn about all the different emergency services.
Senior Citizens/Grandparents On 13 December Senior Citizens in our community are invited to come to school for Christmas lunch at 1.30pm followed by the children’s performances. If any of your grandparents or anyone in the community would like to come, please fill in the slip on the back of the newsletter.
Christmas Productions Reception – 6 December at 2pm
KS1 (Yrs 1/2) – Tuesday 11th December at 2pm. Wednesday 12th December 6pm.
Yr 6 Victorian Music Hall – Wednesday 19th December 6.30pm.
Please fill in the slip on the back of the newsletter to order tickets for KS1 (Years 1 & 2) performances. Tickets are limited to 2 per family. Young children are allowed at the 2pm performance only and will count as one of your places.
Dinner Money Dinners are now £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week which needs to be paid on a Monday morning in an envelope with your child’s name and class on. We have some dinner envelopes for sale in the school office for £1.50.
Next week we are on Week3.
Music Lessons Fees for this half term are now due - £19.95. Please pay these and any outstanding fees into school as soon as possible in order to continue with lessons. Thank you.
Castleton Children’s Centre The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings from 9.15am-10.45am. If you come to drop older children off at school, you are quite welcome to come into our community room for a coffee until 9.15am.
Christingle Service The whole school will be walking to St. Martin’s Church on Friday 14 December for a service at 10.30pm. We will be leaving school at 10am if any parents would like to join us.
St. Martin’s Christingle Creation Service is on Friday evening, 14 December at 6.30pm. All Welcome.
