Wardle village church.
Everyone is invited to our Annual Christingle Service to be held this Sunday 2 December. The Service will be led by Rev Ron Hicks. During the service any Jars of Grace that have been collected since our Harvest Service can be brought back to church and Christingles will be given out. This Sunday marks the beginning of Advent and as well as the first candle on the Advent Ring being lit, the church will be illuminated by the Christingles. Money collected from the Jars of Grace will be going to UNICEF Child Protection Appeal.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make the fair last week a success. In total £708 was raised on the day with £170 going to Springhill Hospice and £11 to the MacMillan Nurses leaving £527 for Church Funds.
Mother and baby/Toddler Group continues into December meeting on a Monday and Wednesday morning between 9.30am and Noon. Refreshments are provided for £1 for adults and 50p for children.
On Sunday evening 2 December Littleborough Churches Together have an Advent Praise Service commencing 6.30pm, Holy Trinity Church, Littleborough.
Also on Sunday 9 December there will be a mince pie special train from Littleborough station at 13.00.
Slimming World meet upstairs at church every Thursday from 7.30pm. For a warm welcome ring Rebecca on 07738052984.
