Hamer Community Primary School
The Friday Assembly was very well attended again this week and the children in the Reception Class did a fabulous job of showcasing some of the amazing work they have been doing so far this term on their IPC topic of ‘Lets Pretend’. We hope that this has given parents an insight into their children’s learning journey so far.
The Citizens of the week ending 23 November are the Eco Team for starting to work together and thinking about how they can make our school look nice with plants and flowers. Well Done
Parent Governors Nomination forms have been sent home today (Friday). If you wish to nominate yourself or another parent, with their permission, then this must be returned to school by Wednesday 5 December. We have two vacancies and hope that you will use this opportunity to support the school, the staff and have your say in ensuring that we are caring for your children’s education in the right way.
Hamer is a healthy eating school and we support our children to make healthy eating and life choices at every opportunity. We need parents to support this and have noticed that a number of children on packed lunches are bringing fizzy drinks and cake in as part of their lunch. If a child brings in a fizzy drink we will offer them a glass of water and send the fizzy drink home with the child but ideally we would ask parents to consider the food selection sent in with children on a daily basis. Thank you for your support.
