Self-confessed surfaholic Anthony Stansfield is celebrating his success by winning a two week holiday for four in Majorca.
Anthony and wife Doreen, a former nurse at the Rochdale Infirmary plan to take their trip next July together with their son and daughter.
Anthony, speaking at the family home in Lobden Crescent, Whitworth said: “I can’t wait to spend some quality time with the kids, although I think I’ll be escaping to the beach for some peace and quiet by the end of the week.”
The trip to Majorca is the first time in many years that the family have had the opportunity to go away together.
Anthony is a self-employed market-trader, and won his prize on the recently launched goodvalueformoney.com website which encourages canny consumers to share cash-saving tips.
The prize was offered by icelolly.com, a holiday price comparison company.
Anthony told us that this is the first time that he has ever won a prize and that it would make a nice change from the cold, rainy Whitworth winter.
Doreen, who now works at Fairfield General Hospital, sipped a celebratory cocktail with her husband as the prize was presented.
