School Chaplains
Eleven pupil chaplains have been appointed. They are from Class 6: Ademide, Ana and Leonardo; Class 5: Nell, Wisdom, Maria, Jakub and Amory;
Class 4: Jessica, Kerys and Jeremia.

They gave a presentation to the Governors and also to the whole school in assembly on Tuesday. The chaplaincy team were commissioned at Salford Cathedral last week by Canon McBride on behalf of the Bishop.

Children’s liturgy
In church every Sunday at the 9.30am Mass. All children of school age and young teenagers welcome.

St. John’s Christmas fair
St. John’s Church will be holding their Christmas fair on Saturday, 24 November in the school hall between 12 noon and 2pm. Admission charge 50p, children free if accompanied by an adult.

Thank you for your support so far. Money raised up to date is £760.65p (76% of our target).

The cake sale on Friday 16 November raised £300 (a special thank you for your cake donations) and £460.65p is from sponsorships and donations up to 22 Nov.

Rhema Theatre – Tuesday 27 November
Rhema Theatre will be presenting “No Room at the Inn” for the whole school.

M6 Theatre – Monday10 December
“Mavis Sparkle” will be performed by the M6 Theatre for classes 1, 2 and 3.

Please note, if you have not already paid your contribution for the above shows, please do so at the office as soon as possible.

Where is Wally?
Last week Wally was in Ethiopia.

Certificate awards
Awards went to Class F2 for highest attendance and the merit award went to
Class 5 for good behaviour and effort.

Golden book awards
The Golden Book awards are for children have tried their best in all areas with politeness and respect.

Other business
Medical and other appointments
Prior notice must be given to the school office to avoid disruption to classes and school business. Appointment cards should be shown.

Leave during term time
Leave will not be authorised for holidays/absences taken out of the normal school holidays.

Dinner money:
Please remember that dinner money must be paid on a weekly basis. If two weeks have passed without payment you may be asked to provide packed lunches.

Breakfast club:
A small charge of £1.25 per week must be paid for each child attending breakfast club. Breakfast club closes at 8.25 and children must attend before that time.

After school club:
A small charge of £1 per week must be paid for each child attending after school club. After school club runs from Monday to Thursday.
