Hamer Community Primary School
As there are so many worthwhile charities that our school could sponsor we empower our School Council to decide each year which charity we will be supporting. Each year this will change so that we can make a reasonable contribution to the chosen charity ( and we are not continually asking for different donations all of the time!) Although Children In Need was a consideration, the school council decided to support The British Heart Foundation for the duration of a full year. Watch this space for any future events!
This week is Anti Bullying Week. Our children will do various learning activities as part of their PSHE curriculum through the week. To support this we will also have anti bullying wristbands available in class for your child to purchase at a cost of £1 per band.
This week we will send information home as we now have two vacancies for Parent Governors. The support of our Parents in the decisions made as part of the Governance of our school is very important and we look forward to receiving notes of interest for nomination.
Coffee morning for all parents continues to be on Thursdays at 9am. Everyone is welcome!
On Tuesday our Year 2 children enjoyed another free performance up at the M6 theatre. This is a really valuable learning resource for our school and we continue to enjoy working in partnership with the theatre.
The Citizens of the week ending 12 November are Mrs Terry’s Class for an excellent assembly all about their exit point on Space Explorers. Well Done!!
Please remember to put any donated Morrison Garden Vouchers in the box in the school’s front reception area.

After this date you can still order photographs but this will need to be done through Ward Hendry direct. In addition Ward Hendry is also offering an online ordering and payment service should any parent wish to use this facility. (Details on proof sheet)
