The theme this week was the Holy Souls and our enterprise capability was Initiative. The Year 7 focus for this term is teamwork.

Many thanks to everyone who supported our Year 7 Operation Christmas Child project which was extremely successful for a third year running. The boxes were collected on Tuesday and are being sent to Belarus. We collected 115 boxes in total and we are very grateful for everyone’s generosity.

Year 7 pupils took part in a Remembrance Service on Friday. All of Y7 wrote messages about why they want to remember those who have died in warfare, and placed them on a large display poppies before the assembly. Students from Years 7-9 presented some information to the year group and a song was performed by Mr Savage - a former teacher. One member of each form laid their class wreath by the cross then we had our two minute silence. After this we said an Eternal Rest and said 'For the Fallen' as a year group.

Year 7 Attendance Challenge - well done to Miss Hussain and form 7.6, the weekly attendance winners with 98.1%. Congratulations to Jamie Whitehead, form 7.10, the winner of the weekly achievement points draw.
