Healey Foundation Primary School

On Monday afternoon the whole school will be watching a performance of Dick Whittington, performed by LADA productions. This pantomime is free of charge, funded by school as a start to the Christmas Festivities.

All parents should have received the Christmas timetable, a reminder that it is the YELLOW sheet to be followed with the amended date for the school plays.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday;
Reception Jay Junior Carr
Year 1 James Gibson
Year 2 Elizabeth Leigh
Year 3 Meeral Kamran
Year 4 Kayleigh Mills
Year 5 Kai Snape
Year 6 Katie Hancock

School attendance was quite low at 96% due to the nasty tummy bug going around. Hopefully we are over the worth of this now.

Please can we remind all parents who have children taking additional music lessons provided by the Music Service. The lessons are Thursday, but we seem to have a lot of instruments left in school all week. The lessons are expensive and the children need to develop good practise routines. Please can you encourage your child to take their instrument home on Thursday evening and then bring it back the following Thursday for the lesson.

The PTA are now gathering quite a number of contacts for the Parent Trade Directory. If you have a trade and want cheap local advertising all you need to do is submit your details to any member of the PTA or hand in to the School Office and we will contact you.

Finally – due to the number of cars still being driven in to the school grounds in the morning, the school gates are being closed. This is for Health and Safety reasons.
