Middleton Arena goes the extra mile for Children in Need

Date published: 12 November 2012

Link4Life staff at Middleton Arena will be throwing their weight behind the fundraising drive for Children in Need this week.

The customary staff fancy dress parade on Friday will be accompanied by a 22 mile challenge to row the distance of the English Channel. A Middleton Arena team of four will take on teams from their sister centres in Heywood and Rochdale with a trophy sponsored by Facilities Management company Aktrion.

Two special events will also help to raise money that everyone can join in.

There will be a Zumba dance session on Wednesday 14 November from 6.30-7.30pm and on Friday 16 November there is a four hour indoor cycling Spinathon from 10.30am – spin for 10 minutes, one hour or all four! Each session costs £2.50 which will all be donated to Children in Need.

Fundraising organiser Alan Guest at Middleton Arena said: “We get great support for Children in Need from staff and customers. We are looking forward to raising as much money as we can for this fantastic cause and we hope as many people as possible will come down to the Arena to make a donation and take part.”
