St Cuthbert’s new school building, the first phase of which will be in use by December 2013
Congratulations to Callum Ogden, Yr 11, who has been accepted onto Bradford Bulls RLFC scholarship programme. This is a great achievement as only 24 people in the country are accepted.
We are all very excited about our new school building, the first phase of which will be in use by December 2013. State of the art IT facilities, an Art and Technology barn as well as first class dining facilities are all to be included in this first phase.
Rehearsals for the school play, Little Shop of Horrors, are now well under way. Performances will take place in the school hall on 13, 14 & 15 December – more details to follow.
Last week’s theme was Armistice Day and our Enterprise capability was Negotiating. The Year 7 focus for this half term is Teamwork.
Thank you to our Year 7 learners who have so generously donated shoe-boxed gifts for Operation Christmas Child. We have been overwhelmed by the response of pupils and parents.
Parents of some Year 11 learners may have received a letter about our after school intervention classes. This experience has been created to give learners a boost in the run up to examinations. Maths lessons are each Tuesday and English every Thursday. Please see Miss Holt or Mr Fitzsimons for details.
Every child who uses one of our yellow school buses needs to apply for the appropriate pass – please see Mrs Williams for an application form.
