Next week is very busy. Parents are asked to make note of the various activities taking place:

On Wednesday (14) Year 5 are going to Manchester to visit the Art Gallery and to take pictures and sketch at Victoria Station. The children should have brought home a letter with the details, they need to meet at Rochdale Station at 9:30am and be picked up again at 3:00pm. The children should be warmly dressed in school uniform and wearing appropriate footwear.

On Thursday (15) it is whole school photographs from 8:30am. If you want a younger / older sibling who does not attend this school, to have their picture taken please come in and wait in the Main Hall. Brothers and sisters in school will be taken together as routine.

On Friday (16) we are having a Non Uniform Day “Come in your Pyjamas” in aid of Children in Need. The Rights Respecting Team and School Council are organising this event in aid of a specific child, Nicholas Bamforth. Nicholas’ family are raising money to send him for a ground-breaking operation in America. Activities on the day will be: Best Bed Head, Colouring Competition, Cake Sale, Sponge Throwing. Clear details will be sent out early next week.

Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Award last Friday:
Reception Hana-Leigh Cadwell
Year 1 Keira Pounder
Year 2 Mason Scott
Year 3 Jessica Jones
Year 4 Jordan McMahon
Year 5 Skye Anderton
Year 6 Bethany Richards
Year 5 had the best attendance at 99% .

Please can all parents be especially vigilant about threadworm. We have a significant number of reported cases in the early years. Treatment is simple and straightforward but it has to be done, the local chemist can advise. We also have a very helpful informative leaflet in school, a copy has also been sent out with the younger children.
