Hamer Community Primary School celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
Following our Jubilee party back in June, some of our children sent letters to the Queen thanking her for being our Sovereign and inviting her to visit Hamer. Unfortunately the Queen’s Schedule hasn’t allowed for a visit, however, we have received a lovely letter from Her Majesty. She has thanked the school for our “good wishes” and she “is most grateful for the trouble we have taken to send her our kind message.” Well done children and thank you Queen Elizabeth!
The photographer was in school last Friday and just to let you know that you will receive further information about purchasing photographs over the coming weeks.
Once again it was great to see so many parents in school for assembly. Last week it was the Year 5 Space Explorers Assembly if you want to come and look at the brilliant space buggies that the children have made you are very welcome.
The Citizens of the week ending 2 November were Smith’s Class for working together and making some fantastic treasure boxes. Well Done!!
Please remember to put any donated Morrison Garden Vouchers in the box in the school’s front reception area.
Thank you to all those of you who took the time to make an appointment with your child’s teacher for parent consultations It is vital that you take up these opportunities that allow us to share your child’s targets with you and support you with ideas of how you can help at home. Thank you for your overwhelmingly positive feedback about our school. Before the end of term a Parent Questionnaire will be sent home for you to feedback any further thoughts you may have.
