From crime fighters to charity cyclists

Date published: 23 October 2012

A team of officers from the Greater Manchester Police Force Events Section are using pedal power to raise money to help fight cancer.

The officers cycled on canal towpaths from Leeds to Liverpool on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October in aid of The Christie.

The 15 officers were led by Superintendent Bryan Lawton and Chief Inspector Steve Howard who  traveled the 130 miles on a tandem bike.
