Man has bleed on brain after attack

An attack on a man in the Town Centre has left him in a serious but stable condition with a bleed on the brain.
Police were called to South Parade at about 06:20am after receiving reports a man had been assaulted.
Officers found a 24-year-old man had been knocked unconscious. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 21-year-old man from Rochdale has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
