On Tuesday Miss Nicholson and 3 of our Year 2 children enjoyed an interactive Gifted and Talented Workshop at Stansfield Hall Primary School. Once again Fatima Hussain, Laiba Raza and Noor Mureed did us all proud – well done!!

Also on Tuesday, the children in Year 5 and 6 enjoyed a visit to ‘Spaceport’ in Liverpool as part of their IPC topic “Space Explorers” What a fantastic experience enjoying simulators and having the opportunity to glimpse what the life of an astronaut is really like!

It was great to see many parents/carers who attended the coffee morning and website/parent view workshop on Thursday. It is vital to us that we get your feedback and you have the opportunity to have your say. Thank you for working with us and taking the time to give us your feedback.

A group of parents and children joined Miss Shepherd and Mrs Coward to watch the M6 Theatre production of ‘ One Little Word ‘ on Saturday 13 October 2012 and everyone enjoyed the wonderful performance.

We are also lucky to be often invited to the M6 Theatre at the early stages of production to give them feedback from a schools point of view and on Thursday our Year 2 children enjoyed a preview and development workshop up at the M6 Theatre.

On Friday afternoon the children in KS1 had a Slumber Party as their exit point for “Healthy Me”. For those of you at Miss Nicholson’s assembly a few weeks ago you will know that sleep is an essential part of our health and wellbeing. The children enjoyed bedtime stories under snuggly blankets with a calming bedtime drink.

Well done to the Reception Class for being awarded the Citizens of the Week Award for for an excellent assembly on the topic ‘All about me’ and for super singing and for working really hard this term.

School closed for Half Term on Friday and will re open on Monday 29 October at 8.50am. We wish you a safe and happy holiday. For those of you celebrating Eid – Eid Mubarak!
