PTA/Friends of St. Edwards
Thank you to all the parents who came to the meeting last week – it was great to see so many new faces and to have so much support.
Our next event is Halloween Bingo on 1 November. Doors open 6pm; eyes down 6.15pm. Entrance (including a drink of juice and a biscuit) – 50p child; £1 adult; £2 family ticket (2 adults + 2/3 children). Books + flyers £1. There will be prizes for the best child and adult fancy dress costume.

Class Assemblies
This year we are inviting you to share your child’s class assembly. Assemblies will take approx 15mins. Dates for this next half term:
Tuesday 20 November
9.15am – 1B
1.15pm – 5S
Tuesday 27th November
1.15pm – 4P
The other classes will be having their assemblies after Christmas.
Let’s Grow
We are still collecting the Morrisons vouchers.
Poppy Appeal
After half term we will be selling Poppies for a minimum donation of 20p.
Operation Christmas Child
Your child has received a leaflet today. The last date for collection is Friday 16th November.
Old Newspapers
If you have any spare newspapers and magazines, please could you send them into school for the art project. Thank you.
Donkey Club - Reception
We have a lot of children in Reception who want to do Donkey Club so after half term they will be split into 4/5 children a day. Therefore children will need to leave their wellies in school all week if possible.
Dinner Money
Dinners are now £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week which needs to be paid on a Monday morning.
Money envelopes are on sale from the school office for £1.50.
The Menus are changing after half term and we will be on Week 1 when we come back. Copies of the new menus will be on the School Portal.
Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are now due - £17.10. Please send fees into school as possible. Thank you.
New Parent Open Days
There are two open days for parents of children starting school next September, 2013.
Wednesday 31 October at 1.30pm and Tuesday 6 November at 10am.
Dates for Diary
Review Day
On Tuesday 13 November school will be closed to children for a review day for parents. You will receive a letter after half term. Appointments will be during the school day but if you have a preference for am or pm you can let your child’s teacher know.
Winter/Christmas Fair
This year’s Fair is on Friday 30 November at 3.20pm – more details after half term.
If anyone has any raffle prizes they would be willing to donate, we would be very grateful. Thank you.
Half Term
School closes on Friday 19 October and reopens on Monday 29 October.
