Hillsborough inquiry welcomed
Date published: 14 October 2012
MEP Paul Nuttall has welcomed the setting up of an independent investigation into the Hillsborough disaster.
The IPCC police watchdog and Director of Public Prosecutions have announced they will both launch inquiries into possible crimes committed by police.
"I am very pleased that there is to be such an investigation which I trust will be wide ranging and thorough so perhaps at last we will get the answers so long overdue," said Mr Nuttall, who was at Hillsborough on the day of the tragedy.
"The relatives of the deceased and the survivors cannot move on with their lives while questions remain unanswered so no stone must be left unturned," added Mr Nuttall, UKIP Deputy Party Leader.
