Something spooky is happening in Littleborough

Date published: 12 October 2012

Littleborough shops have been taken over by spirits for the October half-term.

Many of the local shops on Church Street and Hare Hill Road have embraced the
Halloween 'spirit' and decorated their windows for the spooky celebration. It is all part of a Halloween Treasure Hunt organised by Littleborough Events and Associations Forum (LEAF).

Nine of the decorated shops have letters in their windows which can be rearranged to form a Halloween-related word.

Simply complete an entry form with the word to be in with a chance to win a prize hamper containing a selection of Halloween goodies supplied by the local shops.

Simon France, Secretary of LEAF said: “I’m really pleased to see the tremendous support from the local businesses. It really demonstrates the great community spirit we have in Littleborough. We hope that people will pop down and to see all the windows as well as the great range of independent shops we have here.”

Entry forms are available from participating shops. Completed forms can be posted in the box in Hartley's Traditional Sweet Shop or The Flower And The Glory on Church Street.

The treasure hunt begins on Saturday 20 October and the winner will be chosen at random from the correct entries at the end of Saturday 27 October.
