40 unemployed people from Rochdale and Bury completed an intensive programme of training with Groundwork
40 unemployed people from Rochdale and Bury have completed an intensive programme of training with Groundwork as part of an innovative application process for employer Choices Home Support.
Applications were received from 60 individuals who were looking for care work. From those applications 40 people were selected for the pre-interview training programme to increase their skills and be prepared for the interview.
The training package included a two-week 'Introduction to Health & Social Care' course, delivered by Rochdale Training and a guaranteed interview to all who completed the course. Successful applicants will be registered to start a Diploma in Health & Social Care (working towards level 2).
Groundwork is focussed on changing lives and is currently helping over 2,700 people to access training and employment opportunities locally. Groundwork is a partner organisation working with Seetec, one of the UKs leading training and employment specialists, to deliver the Government’s Work Programme in Greater Manchester.
