Kingsway Business Park is up and running!

The Kingsway Partnership has gone the extra mile this autumn, or rather the extra 6 miles to be precise, with a new series of runs on Kingsway Business Park.

More than 300 runners took part in the first ever Rochdale Kingsway Run on Sunday 23rd September. The event, which was started by Coronation Street’s Brooke Vincent and Ellie Leach, attracted runners from across the north and from as far a field as Kent and North Wales.

Fiona Walker, Marketing Manager for Kingsway Business Park commented: “Kingsway is perfect for an event like this, we’ve got over seven miles of new footpaths which pass through some great scenery.

"On the day there was a great atmosphere and a real community feel. Families ran together in their first race, local businesses ran in teams for their chosen charities and people came from far and wide to take part.”

The event brought together a wide range of abilities and ages too, with a number of younger children taking part in track races and experienced runners tackling the 10k route.

Phil Ewbank, Chairman of Rochdale Development Agency said: “The idea of using Kingsway Business Park as the venue for a run was an inspired choice. It really highlighted what Kingsway has to offer to the local community in terms of attractive walks and cycleways but also as a great location for modern businesses and their employees.”
