This week’s themes were The Third World and Homelessness; our Enterprise capability was Change. Our new Pupil of the Week initiative is now well and truly in operation. Each week, a teacher nominates one student who has displayed excellent work or effort. The students are each rewarded with certificates and reward points as well as being entered into a prize draw. Will your child be a nominated Pupil of the Week this week?
Year 7 News - The Gideons Society presented all year 7 pupils with a Holy Bible in assembly.
Attendance Challenge: congratulations to form 7.5 with a weekly attendance of 99%. Also, congratulations to Stacey Openshaw, form 7.2, who has been selected as Pastoral Pupil of the week.
The Expressive Arts Faculty is holding a Young Musician of the Year 2012 competition. Auditions take place each lunch time in M1, with the grand final taking place on Friday 30 November.
Our new Student Council Representatives were identified by all students and were presented their student council ties – it is now very easy to spot your representatives around school by the silver tie – your representatives will help you by listening to your views and discussing them in student council meetings. Congratulations to the following pupils who have been elected onto the school council to represent Year 7: Jordan Hennesy, Wiktori Teletynska, Kieran Joy, Sophie Alexander. Jamie Stewart, Naomi Molokwu, Liam Swales, Abbigail Smith, Shawn Iheme, Molly Moulton, Marlena Ostrowsky, Lander Bombien, Katie Hughes, Nicola Janowska, Peter Winyard, Jensen Dodd. William Isungu, Jack Sammut, Cadmus Dixon and Saggron Wood.
TFGM have changed the 867 bus times, as it was constantly arriving late. The 867 bus will now depart 10 minutes early each morning. It will start at Sheriff Street at 07.34 instead of 07.44.
