A HUGE ‘Well done’ to everyone who supported the Francis House Appeal (watches and friendship bracelets) and the MacMillan Coffee Morning. The Francis House raised £260 to be presented on Friday 5th and a staggering £373.50 for the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Leah and Kian’s Mum who carried on from where we left off.
Next week is the LEAF week – Local Environment Fortnight. Years 4 and 5 will be taking advantage of the outdoor learning going on and have a busy week. If you child is in Year 4 or 5 please make sure they have the appropriate clothing and footwear to enjoy the lesson.
Monday: Year 5 walking to Healey Dell for ‘Wonderful World of water’ including pond dipping (morning) Year 4: walking down to Rochdale Pioneers for a Bee Have workshop, they will then stay at the museum for a packed lunch and will walk across town to the swimming baths for their normal lesson in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Year 5 walking to Healey Dell again for ‘If you go down to the woods.’ (morning)
Wednesday: Year 5 are having environmental art brought into school in the morning. Year 4 will be walking to Touchstones in the town centre for Animal Magic, Bugs and Beasties.
On Thursday it is the Harvest Festival, we would like to collect tins and packets of food, tea, coffee etc for the Rochdale Food Bank. Please help if you can.
The Friday assembly will be Judo. WozMick will be giving a judo display and then there will an opportunity for children to take part in a six week judo course.
Parents Evenings are taking place on 16 and 17 October. Information and booking clips will be sent out nearer the time.
Well done to the children who were presented with the Achievement Cup last Friday.

Whole school attendance was a very good 98.3%, very well done to everyone, we have made a flying start to the year, please keep it up.
