Balloon race winner receives her prize

President Jeff Lawton of Middleton Rotary Club and Pat Greenall of Heywood
President Jeff Lawton of Middleton Rotary Club presented a certificate and £50 cash prize to the winner of the club’s inaugural Balloon Race.
The winner was Pat Greenall of Heywood and her balloon was found over 52 miles away in Doncaster by Lilian Collier, who received an M&S gift voucher for returning the winning card to the club.
The Middleton Rotary Club’s balloon race took place at Middfest in July, 170 balloons were let off with tickets to be returned if found.
The balloon race raised a total of £230. The money raised will be used by Middleton Rotary Club to help local charities, clubs and organisations.
