This week’s theme was Care of the Poor and our Enterprise capability was Innovation. The Year 7 focus is communication.

Many congratulations to Lucy Lucketti, who has made the regional netball team (the north west team). Five more of our girls have been scouted for County netball trials - Patricia Diba, Anna Skinner, Sophie Ullah and Nathalie Mukambilwa. Another brilliant achievement as their talent has been spotted over hundreds of very talented players. They will attend trials on Sat 6 October - good luck!

Year 7 news - Congratulations to many of our pupils who have been selected as a ‘Pupil of the week’. Well done also to those who have been included in the weekly top ten achievement prize draw.

Congratulations to the following pupils - Pastoral Pupil of the week Katarznya Pasinkas, form 7.3. Top ten achievement points draw winner: Jamie Whitehead, form 7.10.

Year 7 Attendance challenge: the form with the overall best attendance will celebrate with a big breakfast together at the end of the term. This week’s winners are Mr Sidlow and form 7.3 with a weekly attendance of 100%.

School must be informed on the first day and every consecutive day that your child is absent. Please also issue a note when your child returns to school. Please note holidays in term time are not authorised.

Photographs have now been sent home with pupils, orders of copies or returned photographs should now be brought back into school. Many Year 7 pupils have misplaced items of clothing. Please label all items so that when found, they can be returned to their rightful owner.

Mobile phones must be switched off throughout the College day, this includes break and lunchtimes. Phones will be confiscated if this rule is abused. If you need to relay an urgent message to your child please contact the school Reception. If your child is feeling unwell in school they must report this to their Pastoral Manager who if necessary will then contact parents.
