Healey Primary School
On Monday 1 October Year 6 are spending the day at Falinge Park High School for a high school taster. The children have to make their own way there to arrive by 9:15am and need to be collected at 2:45pm. Please make sure the children wear full school uniform.
Also on Monday at 3:30pm the PTA are meeting in Mrs Rahman’s room, please come along and support. The PTA have set up their own Facebook page and are keen to use this to generate ideas. Tables for the Table Top Sale on Saturday 6 October are selling quickly. Tables are £5 only and all sales profits can be kept by the sellers. Refreshments will be available on the day.

Attendance for the whole school was OUTSTANDING – 99%, with 3 classes achieving 100%. This is an excellent start to the school year.
The following week is Environment Week: Year 5 are walking to Healey Dell on Monday morning for ‘The Wonderful World of Water.’ Year 4 are also out walking down to the Pioneers Museum on Toad Lane and then staying there for lunch before attending the swimming baths as usual. On Tuesday Year 5 are out again to Healey Dell, on Wednesday Year 4 are going to Touchstones to look at ‘Animal Magic, Bugs and Beasties.
Thursday 11 October is the Harvest Festival. This year we are asking that you help support a local charity; Rochdale Food Bank. Details will be sent out next week. Music lessons have now started and most after school activities are up and running. There is a waiting list for guitar tuition, but other instruments are going to be made available for Year 3 children. Music invoices must be paid by Friday 28th September, or the service will have to be withdrawn. Music lessons are all taking place on Thursdays.
Finally - September is the month we support Francis House Children’s Hospice. This year there are snap on watches and friendship bracelets available from the school office at £2 each. Supply is limited this year so first come, first served.
