Rewards for Schools is launching at Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre

Date published: 26 October 2012

Next week sees the launch of the Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre’s Rewards for Schools on Monday 1 October. The campaign offers local schools the chance to win cash prizes, with a total prize fund of £1,250 up for grabs!

Rochdale Exchange invited all local primary schools to join the project in August with the first 20 schools to respond being selected to participate.

From 1 October-18 November shoppers can collect ONE token for every spend over £10 at participating stores or market stalls within Rochdale Exchange. Shoppers can then donate their token to the participating school of their choice by placing it in the relevant section of the token box, located in the centre near Coffee Options.

The school with the highest number of tokens when the scheme closes on 18 November will receive a cash prize of £1,000 to spend on school equipment of their choice. The runner-up school will receive £250 and all participating schools will each receive a sports kit worth £50!

Lorenzo O’Reilly, Centre Manager at Rochdale Exchange commented: “We are really excited to start the Rewards for Schools programme here at Rochdale Exchange and we have been amazed at the response from local schools wanting to participate. This is a good indication of the importance of receiving such a prize fund can make to a school and its pupils.

"I really hope our shoppers get behind the schools and collect as many tokens as they can to help the school of their choice be in with a chance of winning.

"Finally, I would like to wish all of the participating schools, as well as our participating stores and market stalls good luck! I look forward to announcing the winner and runner up in due course.”
