Wardle Village Church

Date published: 18 September 2012

It was lovely to see the children in the infant classes from St James' School at church for their annual Harvest Service last Friday. The service and singing was delightful.

This Sunday 23 September is our Harvest Service led by Rev Andrew Howell at 10.45am.

We would be delighted to receive non-perishable gifts for our Harvest as these will go to help local charities in Rochdale. At the end of the Service the congregation will be given labels for UNICEF's Jar of Grace appeal for 2012. The appeal this year is for Child Protection. All money raised will help to make sure that children are protected, safe, and go to school, thus making sure that vulnerable children survive and thrive, reaching their full potential and follow their dreams. Jars should be returned to church at our annual Christingle Service to be announced in December.

Mother and Baby/Toddler group meet every Monday and Wednesday from 9.30am-Noon. Come along for a chat, meet friends, listen to songs, and join in with activities for the very young. All this for £1 for adults and 50p for Children.

Slimming World meet every Thursday upstairs from 7.30pm.

Watch out for our Soup and Roll event in October.
