School Opening Times
School doors open from 8.50am for KS2 and 8.55am for KS1. Children must be in class and ready for lessons by 8.55am.
KS1 children finish at 3.15pm. KS2 finish at 3.20pm.

Kingswood
Some of our Year 4 children and 4 members of staff are going to Kingswood activity centre this weekend.

Meet Your Class Teachers – Open Evening
There is a chance for you to meet your child’s class teacher and have a look round the class on Tuesday 18 September at 3.30-4.30pm. This is a drop-in session in your child’s classroom.

This year we are inviting you to share your child’s class assembly. Assemblies will take approx 15mins. Dates for this half term:

Eco Art Club
Can you please help by sending in any of the following items:
Old leggings or T-shirts; milk cartons; old CDs; crisp packets or sweet wrappers. Thank you.

Dinner Money
Dinners are now £1.85 per day - £9.25 per week.
Money envelopes are on sale from the school office for £1.50.
There is a copy of the menus on the school portal. Next week we are on Week 3.

Music Lessons
Fees for this half term are now due - £17.10. Please also pay any outstanding fees into school as soon as possible in order for lessons to continue. Thank you.

Dates and Events
The Book and Gift Sale which was advertised for 17, 18 and 19 September has now been cancelled.

Community Cooking and Macmillan Coffee Afternoon
On Friday 28 September, parents can come and cook with their children from 1.15pm. We will be making Rhubarb Crumble. If you wish to join in the cooking, please give you name into the school office by Wednesday 26 September.
Following the cooking we will be holding a coffee afternoon from 2.30-4pm in aid of Macmillan cancer. Please come along and support this worthy cause.

Year 6 Youth Club
This has now started and is open to Year 6 pupils on Monday evenings at 6.30-8.30pm. The cost is £2.50 and there is also a tuck shop.
Parents have to sign children in on the very first visit.

Harvest Festival
We will be going to St. Martin’s Church at 2.00pm on 2 October for our Harvest Service. We will be leaving school at 1.30pm. Space is limited as the whole school is going but you are welcome to join us.

Castleton Children’s Centre
The free ‘Stay and Play Sessions’ are here at St. Edward’s on Wednesday mornings 9.00am-10.30am.

Year 1
Year 1 will be taking part in ‘Jo Jingles’ sessions every Wednesday afternoon. The children will have lots of fun focusing on music and movement.
