Gavin to tackle the famous Great North Run

Gavin Reynolds will tackle the challenging 13.1 mile long course of the Great North Run in Newcastle on the 16 September.

Sponsored and supported Recruitment Solutions (NW) for the event Gavin is undertaking the challenge to raise vital funds for Diabetes UK a cause which holds significant meaning to Gavin as in January 2011 he was himself diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic – a lifelong disease for which there is no cure.

Training for the event started over 9 months ago and Gavin hopes to complete the challenging course within a time of 1 hour 45 minutes, which would be seen as a significant achievement.

Gavin’s training partner and fellow participant is former Rochdale Hornets player Wayne Corcoran.
