GCSE results

Early figures show that77.7% of the borough’s pupils achieved 5+A*-C grades in this year’s GCSEs, a 5.6 percentage point increase on 2011.
51.4% of pupils have achieved 5+A-C grades including Maths and English. This is two percentage points down on last year’s figure.
With results for 14 of the borough’s schools announced, there has also been an improvement of 1.7 percentage points in the English Baccalaureate.
