Fire damages opticians

An opticians was damaged during a fire this morning.
Firefighters were called to Eyecare Optical on Milkstone Road, Deeplish, at 5.11am.
2 fire engines from Rochdale attended and using breaking in equipment entered to find the ground floor shop on fire.
The first floor offices were smoke damaged during the blaze.
A fire officer said that it is thought the fire may have been caused by a faulty air conditioning unit.
