Manchester Grammar School (MGS) student John Lowe achieved outstanding results in his A-Levels
Local Manchester Grammar School (MGS) student John Lowe has achieved outstanding results in his A-Levels.
The 18-year-old from Milnrow was awarded two A* grades in History and Spanish and an A in French. He will now go on to study History at the prestigious St Andrews University.
John said: “I am so happy with my results. I can’t wait to start my course as to me it’s interesting and relevant and I hope it will develop skills for my future career; for which I’m considering Law.”
The keen cricketer - who also represents the Central Lancashire League, plays for his local club in Milnrow and is an ECB qualified coach - also hopes to transfer his sporting skills to university.
John’s efforts are an example of another great year for Manchester Grammar School, where 27% of all grades achieved were A*; three and a half times the national average.
