Meeting cancelled due to lack of sandwiches!
Date published: 21 January 2008
The Transport Partnership meeting due to take place at Rochdale Town Hall has been cancelled.
In an email to those attending, Howard Gott, on behalf of Richard Chapman said: "The Town Hall have informed me that kitchen staff are being evacuated so no buffet, and Richard Chapman is also being told to leave.
"In the circumstances we think it unwise to ask people to attend a Middleton meeting when this may mean travelling via flooded areas.
"Therefore the Transport Partnership meeting is cancelled. Please pass on to other members if you speak to them."

UPDATE
All meetings are cancelled for tonight and the Town Hall is now closed because of fears of flooding.
